In October 2009, Marrickville Council's 2009 Community Grants Program awarded the Eco-Library grant funding of $1100 for a high
performing printer to be made available for library patrons. The Bower would like to thank Marrickville Council for their support
The Eco-Library provides members of The Bower and the local community with access
to information on how to live a more sustainable lifestyle.
Resources to carry out these activities include books, journals and leaflets, dvds and
videos; also free internet access.
It is also a place where lectures, seminars, meetings and workshops can be held by
other community groups and organisations such as the Inner West Seedsavers group.

We have a dedicated Eco-Librarian in house Wednesday and Friday afternoons.
Open Hours & Borrowing
Members: Open to Bower members weekdays and weekends as well.
Members can borrow almost everything in our collection!
Non-members: Open to non-members during the week as well as Sunday afternoons between 12 and 3 pm.
But remember becoming a Bower member is a very easy, low cost process that includes benefits beyond access to the new library. More
