The woodshop is an integral part of the Bower’s operations.

It’s here we create bespoke furniture, repair donated items and run workshops. It’s also the home of a weekly repair cafe on Wednesday from 1 till 4 , where you can repair your own furniture, with the assistance of a skilled Bower staff member.

Repair Cafe allows you to use the Bower’s workshop, have access to our tools and to have the guidance of a skilled woodworker. If you have a broken piece of furniture or timber project but no space to work on it, or no confidence to do it on your own, this is for you.

Maybe you have an old piece of furniture that you want to restore, or perhaps you’d like to build something new with timber you’ve salvaged. Projects range from small DIY jobs to large scale, ambitious furniture design. We can help you with all manner of things!

Furniture Repairs bring new life to old pieces. It could be a family heirloom, or something you’ve picked up off the side of the road. We can fix missing legs, wobbly bits, refinish and refurbish.

Bower Bespoke is our program to create bespoke wood furniture for private clients and for our stores. We accept commissions and produce furniture based on client’s ideas and specifications, using top quality recycled materials. We also design our own pieces, which are sold at our Marrickville and Parramatta shops, as well as in our eBay store.
